PORTLAND CHERRY BOMBS INAUGURAL JERSEY RAISES MORE THAN $9,500 FOR PLANNED PARENTHOOD COLUMBIA WILLAMETTE
First-year partnership turns Cherry Bombs jersey sales into $9,502.61 contribution to support health care in Oregon and Southwest Washington
PORTLAND, Ore. — September 9, 2026 — The Portland Cherry Bombs announced today that $9,502.61 from sales of the club’s inaugural jersey will be donated to Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW).
The contribution is part of a partnership announced in April, when the Cherry Bombs unveiled their first-ever kits with PPCW as the club’s official jersey partner. From the beginning, the partnership was designed to extend beyond a logo on a jersey, with a portion of jersey sales committed to supporting PPCW and its work in the community.
“When we launched the Cherry Bombs, we wanted this club to stand for something and to be connected to the community around it,” said Alan Miller, President of COLLiDE and owner of the Portland Cherry Bombs. “This partnership was never just about putting a name on our jersey. It was about finding a way for the jersey itself to make an impact. Seeing our fans embrace it and turn our first season into a $9,500 contribution is exactly what we hoped this partnership could become.”
The Cherry Bombs’ inaugural kits were developed in collaboration with Official League and designed to reflect the club’s bold, expressive identity and connection to Portland’s creative culture.

The $9,502.61 contribution will support Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette and its work providing sexual and reproductive health care throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.
The Portland Cherry Bombs thank everyone who purchased an inaugural jersey and helped make the club’s first kit more than a uniform, turning it into another way for the Cherry Bombs and their supporters to give back to the community.
